GOP-led Wisconsin Senate votes to fire nonpartisan official targeted by 2020 election skeptics - AP News

It’s no secret that extremist Republicans have been scheming to undermine our elections, but now, they’re doing it right in front of us.

The GOP-controlled Wisconsin Senate voted to fire the state’s top elections official, Wisconsin Elections Commission Administrator Meagan Wolfe.

Why? Wolfe has been the target of vicious conspiracy theories from election deniers who have falsely claimed she was part of a plan to rig the 2020 election.

In the face of danger, Wolfe refused to back down and did everything in her power to protect Wisconsin’s elections. But now -- three years later -- extremists have taken control of the Wisconsin Senate and voted to FIRE her.

This latest stunt is an important reminder of how far Republicans will go to change the rules to take over our elections.
