This program is part of our Stretch Our Parks ([link removed]) initiative, in partnership with the staff of Occoquan Bay NWR. Enter the mysterious world of Dragonflies and Damselflies. They don’t flit about like butterflies. They’re hunters, feeding on insects like mosquitoes and flies, but they’re also prey for birds and spiders and fish. They begin their life cycle underwater, relying on clean water for their survival. When we see dragonflies, we’re seeing more than a colorful insect, we’re seeing a healthy ecosystem. Visit the Occoquan Bay NWR Visitor Center for this in-person talk, free. Registration ([link removed]) is required.
