Dear Friends,

Farm Aid 2023 is this Saturday! The Farm Aid staff has started traveling from all over the country to Indiana to set up the HOMEGROWN Village, prep for the HOMEGROWN Concessions®, and begin our pre-festival farmer events. If you're joining us in person this weekend be sure to read through the venue rules [[link removed]] and make sure your bag is clear and the correct size [[link removed]]!

*If you travel through the Indianapolis airport, find the welcome to Farm Aid sign and take a selfie. Use hashtags #FarmAid2023 and #Road2FarmAid and we'll repost your pics!

If you won't be in Noblesville, IN, this weekend, you can still be a part of the excitement! Here are ways to watch from wherever you are:

And, here's a step-by-step guide to a stellar Farm Aid festival!

Get all the day's details with the Farm Aid 2023 app: Download the Farm Aid 2023 app for iPhone and Android [[link removed]] to personalize your festival experience. Use the app to get details about the HOMEGROWN Concessions® menu; learn the stories of local farmers; and make a schedule of music, workshops and artist briefings for the day.

Get your hands dirty: The HOMEGROWN Village [[link removed]] is where you can celebrate and engage in the culture of agriculture. From noon to 5:00pm, experience hands-on activities about climate, soil, water, energy, food and farming. Check out our FarmYard Stage where farmers and artists will discuss pressing issues and share stories from the region and across the country. In the HOMEGROWN Skills Tent, learn how to make pancakes from local grains, distill essential oils, make dyes from plants, spin wool and make tools. Also be sure to check out the grazing demonstration with sheep from a local farm.

Swap Seeds: Join us for our annual HOMEGROWN Seed Swap! Please bring seeds from home and come on down to the HOMEGROWN Skills Tent to meet enthusiastic seed savers, swap seeds, and go home with new varieties to try. If you’re bringing seeds keep them domestic, in a sealed envelope, and labeled.

Meet a Farmer: We're here to celebrate family farmers, so introduce yourself. They're all around at Farm Aid 2023! Look for people wearing a "farmer" pass and enjoy their food at HOMEGROWN Concessions®, and hear from them on the FarmYard stage.

Eat HOMEGROWN: We're proud to offer family farm food throughout the venue. Our HOMEGROWN Concessions® [[link removed]] will serve food with ingredients that are produced by family farmers utilizing ecological production practices with a fair price paid to the farmers. Check out menu items like Indiana pastured beef burgers, stuffed organic russet potatoes, blackened shrimp tacos from a Louisiana shrimper, Indiana pastured beef hot dogs topped with brisket from Indiana certified grass-fed beef, roasted Brussels sprouts, roasted local, non-GMO elote and kettle corn!

Make Soil: We're passionate about composting and recycling. With a goal of zero waste, HOMEGROWN Concessions® uses compostable service ware and Farm Aid promotes and supports composting in the venue. Indiana’s GreenCycle will receive the compostable food waste and Second Helpings of Indianapolis will pick up and utilize any remaining foodstuffs from HOMEGROWN Catering.

Wear the mission on your T-shirt: Take home a Farm Aid t-shirt, tote, hoodie, or even a jean jacket made with organic cotton, screen-printed at a union shop. Our online store [[link removed]] is open. Check it out and show off your love of family farmers!

Chat with a volunteer: So many folks donate their time to pitch in and create an incredible Farm Aid experience for all festivalgoers. Our team (in the volunteer t-shirts) is ready to help out in any way!

Eat some crunchy apples at the HOMEGROWN Youthmarket [[link removed]]: Come to our farm stand run by young people who care about agriculture. This year's HOMEGROWN Youthmarkets will be staffed by FFA’s Hamilton Southeastern student chapter, Human Agriculture Co-operative in Fort Wayne and The Grange. Festivalgoers can meet these young adults, learn about the work they do in their communities, get to know the farms represented, and taste fresh fruits, pecans and baked goods.

Support the mission: We can't do our work without you! Show family farmers you stand with them. Give $75 or more to get the official Farm Aid 2023 logo shirt made with organic cotton. [[link removed]]

Have fun and spread the word: Tell your friends and family about your Farm Aid experience by posting about #farmaid2023 and your #Road2FarmAid on social media.
