We hope you’ll celebrate by reminding your friends and family to register to vote, update their voter registration, or check their status.
But here’s the truth: In the 38 states with voter ID laws, registering to vote is just the first step to casting a ballot that counts. Every registered voter across the country ALSO needs to do an ID check so they know what ID (if any) they need to show at the polls or what ID (if any) they need to vote by mail — or get an accepted form of ID if they don’t have one already.
At VoteRiders, we don’t want anything to keep you from making your voice heard! Celebrate National Voter Registration Day by registering to vote, doing an ID check, and making your plan to vote!
Happy voting,
Lauren Kunis CEO and Executive Director VoteRiders
