Dear John,

It was a very busy first week back for the U.S. House after the August recess,
but I’m back to keep you in the loop on how I am fighting for our conservative
values.

I wholeheartedly endorse the impeachment inquiry launched by Speaker Kevin
McCarthy. After months of investigation by my colleagues, we’ve seen enough
evidence to be gravely concerned about the President’s conduct. Impeachment is
not something to take lightly. Unlike the Democrats, we will not use it as a
political weapon to take down opponents but as a tool for oversight, giving the
American people the transparency they are owed from this administration. While
the mainstream media are already taking orders from the White House and the
Democrats to label this as “extreme,” impeachment is the next logical step
given the allegations of obstruction, corruption, and nepotism surrounding
President Biden. Republicans campaigned last year on accountability, and we are
following through to pursue the truth for the American people.

If you were watching the news this week, you may have caught Democrat New
Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham's despotic and disturbing "emergency
public health order" banning open and concealed carry of firearms. She argued
that every constitutional right, including her oath, is “not absolute.” There
is nothing more permanent than temporary government authoritarianism. This is
an attack on all law-abiding citizens and a clear violation of our freedom.
That’s why I am joining my colleague Congressman Newhouse as a co-sponsor of
his resolution condemning this illegal move as a blatant violation of New
Mexicans’ Second Amendment rights.

Today is the final day of Truck Driver Appreciation Week. Our hardworking
truckers put in long hours away from their families to keep our economy
rolling, moving everything from crop harvests to finished products. They don’t
get the props they deserve for working behind the scenes, so please give a big
shout-out and say thank you for their valuable work!

As always, please contact my office if there is anything we can help with.
Thank you for your continued support!

With gratitude,
