Come work with us! Alabama Arise is hiring a Hunger Policy Advocate to help strengthen and grow our movement for a better Alabama.

Arise works hard to break down policy barriers to opportunity for people living in or near poverty. We recognize the role that structural racism plays in creating and sustaining these barriers, and we have an organizational commitment to promote racial equity in all that we do. Using policy analysis, advocacy and organizing, Arise provides a structure in which Alabamians can engage in public debates to promote the common good.

The hunger policy advocate will lead our work on hunger advocacy and nutrition-related safety net programs, including expanding access to free school meals. This role is critical to sustaining and growing the Hunger Free Alabama coalition.
