Dear Friends of 5 Gyres,
This month, the 5 Gyres team is getting out into the field (or the park, or the ocean), to support science that drives solutions.
We're setting sail in the San Francisco Bay with Materevolve and an intimate group of microfiber researchers, sustainable brands, and innovators, to conduct scientific research and foster open discussion about potential microfiber solutions.
Simultaneously, our team will be at Yosemite National Park, with our partners from Epson, Liquid Death, and Klean Kanteen, to collect data for our Plastic-Free Parks TrashBlitz project. We're joining hundreds of volunteers at the 20th annual Yosemite Facelift event to take the clean-up one step further by categorizing waste and developing targeted solutions.
