Dear John,

Summer is coming to a close, which means it's almost time for the Farm Aid festival to usher in fall. We hope that you'll be joining us on Saturday, September 23, either in person in Noblesville, Indiana, or from wherever you are [[link removed]] (we have many ways to tune in).

The festival will feature fantastic performances, including a couple of new additions to this year’s star-studded lineup [[link removed]]. We are pleased to welcome: Clayton Anderson, The Black Opry featuring Lori Rayne, Tylar Bryant and Kyshona, The Jim Irsay Band featuring Ann Wilson of Heart, Native Pride Productions, and the Wisdom Indian Dancers!

Congress is back from summer recess with plenty to do, including passing bills that will keep the government funded and writing and passing the 2023 Farm Bill. Over August recess, Members of Congress returned to their home states and hosted town halls. Many agriculture and advocacy groups, including Farm Aid’s partners, convened listening sessions and voiced their concerns and hopes for the future Farm Bill. However, a big question looms: Will a new Farm Bill get passed before the old one expires? [[link removed]]

A number of years ago we met Scott Streble, a documentary photographer from Minnesota who had come to photograph the Farm Aid festival. His photos of artists on the Farm Aid stage were stunning, but we soon found that he was also passionate about photographing farmers. This summer he spent time in Indiana taking photos of the region’s farmers so that we could spotlight their faces and their farms at our festival. The end result is beautiful, take a look.
