Dear John,

In a world where crises unfold one after another – from armed conflicts to health emergencies – the profound effects on societies, economies, and the overall well-being of people is impossible to ignore.

Since April 2023, the conflict in Sudan has incited a regional upheaval, displacing over 3 million people. This has compounded challenges in neighbouring South Sudan, a nation already grappling with one of the world's most substantial humanitarian crises, marked by pervasive poverty, persistent political instability, and underdevelopment. Such crises remind us of the dire consequences of these situations.

DONATE

Amid this turmoil, National Women Empowerment and Rehabilitation Organization (NWERO), our new Empower to Plan partner is working to empower and safeguard marginalised communities, especially women and adolescents.

With your support, NWERO will work with women, adolescents, and the wider community to implement vital sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) initiatives which will help curb unintended pregnancies, prevent gender-based violence and sexually transmitted infections.

DONATE

The project will also lobby and link beneficiaries with the Adolescent Girls and Young Women Network established in the capital, Juba, which is a platform that provides adolescent girls and young women with space to share experiences on SRHR issues and build solidarity to prevent child marriage in their respective communities.

As the South Sudanese continue to grapple with the aftermath of consistent conflict and displacement, NWERO's efforts have never been more essential.

You can make a difference by donating to this vital cause, and support NWERO to bring down barriers, ignite choices, and empower women and girls in South Sudan.

Thank you for your support,
