ICYMI: VIRGINIANS RALLY AROUND SECURE YOUR VOTE BUS TOUR

Youngkin tosses campaign swag in Suffolk on Labor Day at the first stop of the Secure Your Vote bus tour.

Governor Glenn Youngkin arrived in Suffolk on Monday for the first stop of the Secure Your Vote bus tour, stepping off the bus to a crowd of Virginians who are energized to win the General Assembly elections this November.

“What time is it? It’s time to win. That's what time it is,” Youngkin said as he rallied alongside Senate candidate Emily Brewer, House candidate Mike Dillender, and Congresswoman Jen Kiggans.

The bus tour is promoting Secure Your Vote Virginia, the joint initiative Youngkin launched to ensure Republicans are competing in early and absentee voting.

“We have to keep our House and we have to flip our Senate,” Youngkin said in Suffolk.

“This is the work that we know how to do. Because we know how to win elections in Virginia. We can get this done.”

Youngkin will join the bus tour as it makes stops in key districts for the House and Senate, with a heavy push across the Commonwealth ahead of the start of early voting on September 22.

Youngkin is continuing the bus tour this Saturday with Delegate Kim Taylor in Prince George.

WASHINGTON EXAMINER: Youngkin launches early voting bus tour ahead of pivotal Virginia elections

Gov. Glenn Youngkin's (R-VA) Spirit of Virginia PAC is launching a bus tour of the commonwealth... as part of the governor's early voting push ahead of General Assembly elections that will determine which party controls each chamber.

This comes after Youngkin launched a web portal with the same goal in July called "Secure Your Vote Virginia." The portal provides instructions for absentee and early voting as well as important dates and information.

The data-driven early voting campaign alone is a seven-figure investment that Youngkin's PAC says is already starting to pay dividends, with Republicans who tend to vote only in presidential or gubernatorial contests signing up to vote absentee in November.

RICHMOND TIMES-DISPATCH: Youngkin launches bus tour to help promote early and absentee voting

While Labor Day signals that summer is winding down, the heat is on for elections this year. On Monday, a Gov. Glenn Youngkin-led initiative to encourage early and absentee voting, Secure Your Vote Virginia, kicked off a bus tour to supplement awareness efforts around the state.

The bus will include a QR code for people to scan and be directed to the initiative’s website. There, Virginians will be able to register to vote or request an absentee ballot be mailed to them.
