My mom is the product of the Manchester public school system herself, and she instilled in me the belief that public education is an opportunity for everyone to succeed. When I was young, she even served on our School Board where she fought to fully fund our schools and provide a great education for every child in Manchester.
Now, I’m a teacher at a high school in Manchester and it is incredibly fulfilling to be able to make a difference in the lives of my students. But as I get my own classroom ready for this upcoming school year, I’m nervous.
Our public schools are in danger at the hands of the Republicans like Kelly Ayotte who will continue to defund our public schools. That’s why we need a champion for education to defend it from politicians who cherry pick the students they care about. That’s where my mom comes in.
She believes in supporting our public schools, our teachers, and our students by providing a quality education for every child. She also knows that our schools need to be a safe place for children to learn and will protect students from gun violence and discrimination.
Standing up to anti-public school opponents like Kelly Ayotte will take significant resources. Every dollar you can chip in to help elect my Mom will make a huge difference. Can I count on you?
