SB 423 with have Final Assembly Hearing Today  -  Starts at 10 AM

Please quickly contact your Assemblymember and ask for a no vote.

Here are some points you could make:

Please Vote No on SB 423

  • Take the time to get it right – SB 35 does not expire until 2026.
  • Don’t open our precious coast to ministerial projects for the rich.
  • SB 423 should not be allowed to override and disrupt local Affordable Fair Housing plans.
  • Say no to YIMBY Billionaire Domination of California and yes to communities having voice.
  • Don’t continue the failed trickledown approach to affordability.
  • It is inappropriate for SB 423 to weaponize RHNA to take away local authority, especially in light of unreasonably high RHNA numbers given new population forecasts.
  • Parking is a very localized issue and should be left to the discretion of locally elected officials.
  • Don’t vote for this bill unless you have read through the latest version (all eight-one pages!) and fully understand its provisions.
  • Take another year to get SB 423 right.
