John, Labor Day has a special meaning to me.
My family is a union family. My dad is a retired IBEW electrician, and my daughter is a public school teacher. I know firsthand the impact the lack of local jobs has on families. When I was young, my dad had to move to Wisconsin for over a year because there were no local union jobs.
This experience fuels my work as Mayor, and now I’m running for Governor determined to create good-paying jobs for families across New Hampshire.
And today, I’m honored that I’ve received an endorsement from Teamsters Local 633 – an exciting and incredibly meaningful moment for our campaign. |
I’m proud to stand with labor. From giving us weekends, 8 hour work days, unemployment benefits, sick leave, employer-based healthcare, to safer working conditions – we have a lot to thank unions for. As governor, I aim to fight for the working people of New Hampshire and ensure every Granite Stater earns a livable wage and a chance to prosper in our great state. I hope you continue to enjoy your long weekend and make the most out of the warmth and sunshine! |
