Williams Weekly

Dear Texans,

It was another busy week in TX-25 meeting with constituents and hearing about the successes and challenges our district is facing. As your Representative, I am committed to upholding your values and fighting for the issues that matter most to you. To never miss an update on my work serving you, be sure to follow me on Facebook and Twitter.

Cleburne Chamber of Commerce Quarterly Luncheon

I was glad to join the Cleburne Chamber of Commerce Quarterly Luncheon to speak about my work in D.C. fighting for Main Street. It was an honor to be presented with an award recognizing my work as Chairman of the House Small Business Committee. In Congress I will always stand up for the small business owners and hardworking families of TX-25.

Jacksboro Economic Development Corporation

I joined the Jacksboro EDC Small Business Roundtable to meet with business leaders in Jack County to discuss how inflation and the rising costs of goods is hurting Main Street. One of the main concerns I heard about was the upcoming Farm Bill in Congress. Every 5 years, the Farm Bill gives Congress the ability to authorize new agricultural programs and policies. I will use this as an opportunity to protect our nation’s ranchers and farmers by streamlining the processes of current programs, providing crucial resources including disaster relief, and ensuring that the wellbeing of our farmers is not dependent on unchecked welfare programs.

Breckenridge Economic Development Corporation

I met with small business leaders at the Breckenridge EDC Roundtable to provide an update on my work in Washington serving TX-25 and discuss how skyrocketing interest rates and the rising price of goods is impacting consumers. Even the basic costs of living are becoming unaffordable for Main Street, forcing many families to live paycheck to paycheck. We must restore an economy that is strong. In Congress I am fighting each day to unleash American energy to lower prices at the pump, strengthen the supply chain, and end U.S. reliance on China to bring affordability back to Main Street.

Friday Night Lights!

I was honored to kick off the big game between the Burleson High School Elks and Centennial High School Spartans. It was a great Friday night of TX-25 football and recognizing the school resource officers who keep our campuses safe.

I wish the best of luck to all the High Schools in Texas as they begin their school year and their football season. Stay safe and play hard!
