My least favorite part about campaigning for Congress is fundraising.

Shocker, I know…

Regardless of how I feel about it, the reality is that ever since the Citizens United decision, elections have become more expensive, and candidate fundraising has become much more vital.

Believe it or not, a significant chunk of our donations are generated by emails like this one. We don't have billionaires or big special interests backing us the way others in this race might. Frankly, I wouldn't have it any other way. The way I see it, each individual donation sends a message that our community is ready for home-grown, progressive change in Washington.
