At the event, we'll award the Jan Allen Courage Award to Rep. Diamond Staton-Williams, who bravely shared her personal abortion story on the floor of the House in opposition to SB 20, North Carolina’s 12-week (and more) abortion ban. We'll also hear from Jenn Mahan from the national Center for Reproductive Rights about how NC is a pivotal state for abortion access nationwide.

Future Candidate Training 

This training is designed for women who are interested in running for public office at any level in the next 1-2 years. This is a virtual training that will cover building your network, fundraising, and compliance. Social media and personal narrative trainings are pre-recorded. This virtual training is scheduled for Saturday, October 14 with a follow up session on October 17. 

The registration fee for this is $20. Scholarships are available upon request. 

Campaign Camp

Campaign Camp is our biennial training for campaign staff and volunteers of all genders. We encourage both those who are already working on a 2023-24 campaign or who are looking for work on a 2024 campaign to apply. Applicants from outside of NC are welcome, but we will give preference to people who live in NC or have worked here.

This in-person training is scheduled for the weekend of November 17-19 in Hoke County, NC. Details regarding the training location will be shared upon training acceptance. Meals and double occupancy lodging will be provided at no additional cost. Please read the application in its entirety before you apply.

If you are accepted you will receive an acceptance email with a link to complete your registration and pay the $50 registration fee. Scholarships are available upon request after you are accepted.
