Hi John, it's Blake here – Laura’s political director.
It’s the end of the month, so it may not shock you to hear that everyone here at HQ is nervously tallying our August fundraising numbers -- making sure we're on track to run a well-funded (and winning) campaign.
Believe it or not, we're already laying out our spending plan for digital ads, mailers, organizing staff, and canvassing materials ahead of the March primary. It's going to take an aggressive effort to get Laura across the finish line. As it stands we have some ground to make up.
We have roughly $3,500 left to raise to stay on track: If you can, please make a donation of $3 or more to help us hit this target.
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
Here’s a little inside scoop we normally wouldn’t share, Laura has had
much less time to fundraise over the past few weeks.
Between her efforts advancing legislation to support writers and actors through the strike, passing bills around water conservation -- even her work taking on price gouging by ticket sellers like
Ticketmaster, Laura’s been more active in Sacramento than usual.
And the truth is we're okay with that. We think it's important that Laura's stay focused on doing the good work our communities need. That said, it makes fundraising emails like this one much more important.
You'll never find Laura in some backroom with corporate PAC donors. Instead, we're counting individual donors who believe in her work and campaign to power us to a victory. Right now, we're really hoping you can come through for us!
On behalf of everyone here at HQ, we'd appreciate anything you can chip in to help us meet this goal. Any amount helps, but $3 from you would go a long way.
Thanks,
Blake Dellinger
Political Director
