Turning up the heat for reproductive freedom
August 2023: Living for the hope of [reproductive freedom for all]
August is slipping away and warm days are on the verge of becoming crisp nights, and this movement is as strong as ever. I'm so proud of the work we've done this month. Our volunteers have been red hot this summer, and there's no chance of us cooling down this fall.

What's Hot in August
Diversity Awareness Month
We're proud to be an organization that values diversity both externally with our members and partners as well as internally with our staff. There is always more to learn, and we are striving towards our goal of being a truly inclusive place. This month, Dr. Kori Ricketts, our new Senior Director of Equity and Culture, led a conversation to discuss the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion in our movement. It was an inspiring session and I can't wait for the next one! It will take all of us coming together with our unique backgrounds, experiences, and strengths to ensure reproductive freedom for all is a reality.
We want to hear from you as we work towards being a more inclusive organization. Will you complete our interest survey today?

Summer's Coolest Party: Holding Anti-Abortion Lawmakers Accountable
While federal lawmakers were on August recess, we made sure they knew their constituents expected their support for reproductive freedom. In Arizona, Michigan, and California, our volunteers sent emails, shared social media posts, and even went to district offices to speak to lawmakers in-person.
