Fellow Kansan,

Thank you for subscribing to my newsletter! I’m excited to update you on my work in Washington, D.C. and the First District of Kansas.

It is an honor to represent Kansans in the Big First District in the 118th Congress. I do not serve in Congress to be a caretaker in the slow demise of America – I serve to fight and work to make our country stronger, and I believe our brightest days are yet to come.

Yours in service,

Serving on the Kansas Independent Oil and Gas Association's Congressional Panel

I enjoyed attending the 2023 Kansas Independent Oil and Gas Association (KIOGA) Convention and serving on the congressional panel last week. Thank you to all the members who attended and shared their questions and concerns with me.

I'm committed to fighting against the Biden Administration’s war against American energy producers and demonization of fossil fuels. We need to embrace an "all of the above" energy strategy that prioritizes American energy independence, embraces liquid fuels and renewable energy, and doesn't allow Washington to pick winners and losers.

Announcing 2023 Military Academy Nominations

As a member of Congress, it is my honor to offer service academy nominations for ten students in the Big First District who wish to pursue a career serving in our nation's military. My office is now accepting nominations for the 2022 class of Military Academy Nominations. Members of Congress may nominate candidates for appointment to the five U.S. service academies:

Creating a Nation that's Safe

Americans deserve to live in a nation that’s safe. While crime is on the rise across the country and chaos continues to escalate at our southern border, President Biden refuses to acknowledge the violence and chaos that his soft-on-crime policies have created.

I am committed to fighting for a nation that’s safe and keeping America strong as the world leader in democracy and freedom.

House Republicans passed legislation to secure the border, finish the wall, criminalize all forms of illicit fentanyl, and support the training and hiring of more state and local law enforcement officers.

ICYMI: Raising Awareness About Fentanyl in Kansas Communities

FACT: A Kansan dies every day from fentanyl.

Tragically, more than 1,200 Kansans have died of fentanyl poisoning, and the problem is only getting worse. Last week, I joined the Kansas Congressional delegation and organizations across Kansas in raising awareness about the dangers of fentanyl. It's time for communities, parents, health care providers, schools, businesses, and policy makers to come together and advocate for action that will decrease the number of fentanyl-related poisonings in Kansas and across America.
