Please join all of us—AFL-CIO Secretary-Treasurer Fred Redmond, union members, leaders and guests—at 11 a.m. ET for AFL-CIO President Liz Shuler’s inaugural State of the Unions address. This is a chance to highlight how working people are transforming our communities and our country by standing together in unions.

We’ll be streaming this event live on aflcio.tv. The program will also feature union member stories and close with a young workers panel and Q&A on why It’s Better in a Union.

This year’s Labor Day theme, “It’s Better in a Union,” is all about showing the strength and power workers gain when we organize and bargain collectively. This is an exciting time for the labor movement, full of possibility and potential—and this Labor Day week, we will show the nation that it really is “Better in a Union.”
