OK folks — Jenny here, Tim Kaine’s Finance Director, with a critical tracking report as we get ready to close the books on August:

Right now, we’re 72% to our monthly fundraising goal, with just 4 days remaining in the month.


If we want to stay on track for the quarter, we need to bring in an additional $48,000 by midnight on August 31st.


If we miss this goal, we’ll start September already behind — and we can’t afford to do that, with the big FEC filing deadline on September 30th.
As Finance Director, it’s my job to make sure we’ve got enough resources in the bank to execute Tim’s campaign plan. And if you know Tim, you know that he’s pretty dang ambitious in his plans!
He doesn’t just want to eke out a win, he wants to secure a definitive victory against the extreme Republicans who are going to be on the ballot this cycle. And not just for himself, but for Democrats all the way down the ticket, too.

Closing this $48,000 gap won’t be easy, but the fact is, it should be — because if everyone reading this email chipped in just one dollar , we’d be there within the hour! So I’m personally asking you to dig deep and donate what you can.
