Dear Friend,

Today might be “Women’s Equality Day” but for women living in the supposed “great democracy” that is the United States, it’s obvious that this so called “equality” is something still not achieved. This country has kept women down for too long, and in many ways women are still treated as second-class citizens.

Think about it. Women got the right to vote only in the 1920s, after decades of struggle. Women entered the workforce in large numbers only during World War II, when men were away fighting. Women gained control of their bodies and some legal protections only in the 1960s, and even those are under constant attack by the Supreme Court.

And what about the Equal Rights Amendment, which would guarantee women’s equality under the law? It was first proposed in 1923, but it has never been ratified by enough states to become part of the Constitution. It’s been stalled for almost a century!

So, if you feel that your voice is not heard, your work is not valued, and your identity is not respected, you are not alone. You are not imagining things. You are facing a system that is rigged to keep women down.

But you don’t have to accept this status quo. You can make a difference by supporting the Green Party <[link removed]>, the only political party that truly stands for women’s rights and empowerment.

The Green Party has always stood as a champion of feminism and equality. Unlike the two corporate-run major parties, which have tokenized and exploited women for votes, the Green Party has consistently put women at the forefront of its leadership and agenda.

Just look at our history. Since 1996, we have run presidential campaigns with at least one woman on the ticket. In 2008 and 2012, we had two women as our presidential and vice-presidential candidates: Cynthia McKinney and Rosa Clemente in 2008, and Jill Stein and Cheri Honkala in 2012. These are women of courage, vision, and integrity, who have fought for social justice, environmental protection, and peace.

The Green Party also has a unique structure that ensures gender balance and diversity. We have co-equal gender diverse co-chairs at every level of our organization. We have a platform that supports women’s rights to reproductive health, pay equity, education, childcare, and safety from violence. We have a vision that celebrates women’s contributions to society and culture and recognizes their diverse needs and perspectives.

If you share our values and goals, we invite you to support our work <[link removed]>. The Green Party is not just a political party; it’s a movement for change. It’s a community where you can be yourself, rather than conform to a patriarchal norm. It’s a space where you can find support, solidarity, and opportunity.

We need your support to help us grow <[link removed]> our party and our impact. We need you to help us challenge the two-party system that has failed us all. We need you to help us create a better future for ourselves and our children.

Don’t settle for less than you deserve. Be Green. Be free. Be powerful.
