As you read this Friend, grizzly bears are being hunted, brutally KILLED and their bodies displayed as souvenirs—and it’s all completely LEGAL. Vicious trophy hunters are even going as far as blowing up harmless mama bears and cubs in their dens! Where can these vulnerable bears find safety and shelter if not in their own dens?

Innocent grizzly bears do not understand state boundaries or when hunting season begins. They roam freely amongst the land, as they naturally do. They cannot tell the difference between bait and available food to feed themselves and their cubs. This makes them vulnerable to the barbaric hunt, violence and weapons that could KILL them and leave their cubs STARVING and exposed to further harm.

Not only are grizzlies facing a shrinking habitat, loss of critical food sources, and many impacts of climate change—but also leg snares, dynamite, and shotguns! There have been numerous discoveries of bloody carcasses of grizzlies with some being shot more than 20 times! With only fewer than 2,000 grizzlies remaining in the lower 48 states, if we do not act FAST we could risk losing one of our nation’s most treasured species.

There’s more to this, Friend. Right now, far-right lawmakers like Rep. Lauren Boebert are doubling down on harmful Trump-era policies by aggressively attempting to roll back life-saving Endangered Species Act (ESA) grizzly protections even further. With Republican lawmakers and trophy hunting lobbyists advancing some of the most aggressive anti-bear laws ever, the grizzly bear population would drop closer to EXTINCTION.

We cannot allow the fate of these helpless bears to be left in the hands of the money hungry GOP and hunting lobbyists. Grizzlies cannot afford another attack or death.
