Hello and Happy Friday!
It was another busy week in the Lowcountry as we continued our district work period. Let’s recap:
Monday, we held a town hall with Concerned Veterans of America at the USS Yorktown to discuss the issues facing our nation's heroes as they move into post-service life. We also discussed how the VA can better serve our veterans. Our office will always make ourselves available to receive their direct feedback.
Wednesday we toured Navy/Marine Corps Engineering Support in Charleston at SAIC. These on the ground tours are vital for us to see firsthand the places our service members work and teach us how we can best serve them.
That afternoon, we joined Your World with Neil Cavuto on Fox News to talk about how an impeachment inquiry is a tool in the toolbox of Congress. The American people deserve to see all the evidence against the Biden's and make decisions for themselves. We will not politicize impeachment and will hold ourselves to higher standards than Nancy Pelosi and the democratic leadership of past Congresses.
On September 9th, the South Carolina Congressional Delegation will be holding a Service Academy Day at the USS Yorktown from 11:00am to 1:30pm. This is a great chance to meet with representatives from all 5 military service academies and learn about the process for receiving a nomination for interested students. RSVP Here.
Our office has recently started a new series called “Sunday Sunsets.” If you live in the district and want to show off your beautiful sunset picture, drop it here.
Lowcountry residents! We’re looking for more District Dog submissions! Drop the information on your pup here.
As you all may know, when we aren’t in DC, we are hosting one of our Lowcountry events such as Coffee or Cocktails With Your Congresswoman. To stay in the loop on when we hold our events, stay subscribed to our newsletter and follow our Eventbrite page!
We are always here to assist you with any issues or concerns. Please feel free to reach out to us.
It is an honor to serve each and every one of you.
Have a great weekend!
Sincerely,
|
