Last night’s debate proves why we MUST contest every GOP seat.

John,

Last night’s GOP primary debate was a terrifying display of extremism becoming mainstream Republican policy.

Besides the glaring fact that none of these candidates are prepared for the presidency, they laid out a Republican platform that – no matter who the nominee is – promises an attack on our freedoms that will destroy our democracy.

They made their position on climate change clear, calling it a hoax even while Americans are dying across the country right now as a result of unprecedented wildfires and superstorms.

They made themselves clear on immigration, spewing racist and hateful rhetoric and promising violence toward innocent people at our borders.

They made themselves clear on abortion, threatening to impose a national ban and eliminate women’s bodily autonomy once and for all.

If last night told us anything, it’s that every Republican congressional seat must be contested next year. Please pitch in to my campaign to FLIP ID-02 so we stop the GOP’s radical policies from doing any further damage.

Everyone on that stage last night cited talking points that are now accepted as routine Republican policies. And while it’s true that not every Republican in Congress talks like Matt Gaetz or Marjorie Taylor Greene, when it’s time to tally the votes they all fall right in line.

Republicans like my opponent who stand by in silence while their colleagues spew dangerous, hateful rhetoric – then vote to enable the same policies – are frankly more dangerous.

Make no mistake: If Republicans keep the House and retake the Senate, Mike Simpson will be quick to back ANY of the extreme policies that came out of last night’s debate.

I need you with me now. Can you contribute $5, $10, $25, or any amount to my campaign today? When I’m in Congress, I’ll remain committed to STOPPING Republican extremism for good.

Let’s show the GOP that Americans want solutions for their communities, not debate stage brawls full of impracticality and ignorance.

Onward,

David Roth

David Roth is a single, gay dad running for Idaho’s Second Congressional District. We’re going up against a GOP incumbent who has been in this seat for almost 25 years. It’s time for change in Idaho, and our grassroots campaign is building on the momentum that began in David’s race for U.S. Senate last cycle. The GOP is not planning to defend this seat, so we plan to take it from them and help Democrats retake the House majority next year. We’d love your support to build a solid campaign to bring progress to Idaho and the country.
