John, did you see the debate last night?

You probably won't be surprised to hear that the Republican candidates for president spent their time in a race to the bottom, attempting to out-extreme each other on restricting abortion rights and access.

One after another claimed to be more anti-abortion than the next. Mike Pence touted his decades-long commitment to attacking reproductive freedom. Ron DeSantis bragged about the six-week abortion ban he enacted as governor in Florida. More than one candidate praised Supreme Court justices like Amy Coney Barrett for overturning Roe v. Wade .

The incessant bickering aside, we take these candidates at their word: They will fight tooth and nail to appease extremist anti-abortion groups and pass a federal ban on abortion.

That's why we're already laying the groundwork to defeat whoever crawls their way to the top of this pack of MAGA extremists. Will you help us fight? We rely on individual donations from supporters like you to do the work that will ensure we defeat the Republican nominee and defend the reproductive freedom champions in the White House. DEFEND REPRODUCTIVE FREEDOM. GIVE NOW. [[link removed]]

It would be easy to dismiss the Republican field after their embarrassing squabbling last night—but the truth is one of them could be the next president.

Another term with an anti-abortion president will have devastating, long-term consequences on our fight for reproductive freedom. Case in point : Donald Trump was able to solidify the anti-abortion supermajority on the Supreme Court, leading to Roe v. Wade being overturned. That's to say nothing of other judges he appointed across the country—including ones like Matthew Kacsmaryk, who ruled against medication abortion earlier this year.

Pitch in right now to keep anti-abortion extremists like Pence and DeSantis as far away from the White House as possible. [[link removed]]

We're not taking any chances. With your help, NARAL and our four million members are getting to work right now to win this year and next by:

- Deploying multiple field operatives in key states and districts.

- Recruiting volunteer leaders in target states for grassroots outreach.

- Conducting monthly trainings for candidates, volunteers, and activists.

- Investing in polling, messaging research, and refining our turnout models.

- Convincing candidates who believe in our fundamental freedoms to make reproductive freedom a centerpiece of their campaign platform, and demand the media make abortion a focus of their election coverage.

This is how we won in 2020, 2022, and every time since that Republicans have tried to put reproductive freedom on the ballot. It's how we'll win again, but only with your help [[link removed]] .

Thanks for your support.
