Dear Friend,
White Christian Nationalism continues to threaten our democracy, religious freedom, LGBTQ+ equality, racial justice and reproductive freedom. This emboldened movement has spurred an increase in hate across the country.
For over 75 years, AU has acted as a shield against this threat. Protecting church-state separation is part of the larger campaign for democracy, social justice, and civil rights.
That's why AU is proud to march with our allies through the streets of our nation’s capital at the 60th Anniversary of the March on Washington! The anniversary event will carry on the original march’s mission of combating discrimination and promoting civil rights.
Friend, we’re inviting you to be a part of the AU contingent at the march. We’ll meet at 10:30 a.m. ET on Saturday, August 26, at Constitution Hall, then head over together to the Lincoln Memorial for the speaking program followed by the march. Wear your AU gear ([link removed]) if you have it and we'll also have signs, buttons and stickers available.

You’re also welcome to join the pre-program of the larger event at 8:00 a.m. ET at the Lincoln Memorial and then join us at the meeting point at 10:30 a.m. ET. Bring your friends and family, but we encourage each person to sign up individually so that we can get an accurate count of participants to expect.
I hope you’ll join us on August 26 to combat the forces of hate and to uphold our collective values of freedom, equality, and justice.
