John,
Thank you for everything that you do to protect our kids. Together, we’re helping to bring about a nation where no child experiences the devastation of school shootings.
Because of your support, several potential school shootings have been averted during the past year. Countless lives have been saved. With Say Something Week just around the corner, you’ll see highlights of these lifesaving interventions and learn how to get more involved.
Together, we’re making schools a place where children can feel safe so they can learn.

Senate action stalled on universal background checks, despite a year since House passage

It’s been almost a full year, and the Senate still hasn’t taken action to vote on the lifesaving bill to expand background checks on firearm sales. Too many lives have been lost to guns purchased without a background check. We’ve launched our new webpage to answer your questions about universal background checks and show how you can take action!

P.S. In case you missed it, please read this moving opinion piece in Newsweek from our co-founder Mark Barden. “Seven years after my son was killed at Sandy Hook, Senate is still procrastinating on background checks.”
