This is why your vote and actions are so important! Our state previously suffered under a near split state house and senate and the liberal Veto King Governor Cooper, where the legislature lacked the numbers needed to override a Governor Veto-Not Anymore!
VICTORY FOR PARENTAL RIGHTS. This past week the State Senate and House voted to override Governor Cooper’s veto of a Parental Rights bill, now requiring public school teachers to notify parents before calling a student by a different name or pronoun. This bill also bans education related to LGBTQ+, gender fluidity, gender identity, and comprehensive sex ed in K-4 classrooms.
VICTORY FOR GIRL’S BIOLOGICAL SPORTS. A significant victory emerged for proponents of preserving biological distinctions in sports, as both chambers of North Carolina's legislature successfully overturned Governor Roy Cooper's veto of a pivotal bill. This legislation enforces a prohibition on transgender girls participating in girls' sports teams spanning middle and high school levels through college.
