Your privacy is everything.

But it seems like not a day goes by that Americans aren't waking up to headlines about another company that failed to secure the personal data of its customers.

Enough is enough.

Our right to live freely and in control of our own lives, to choice, and to privacy, sits on the slipperiest of slopes. Corporate America is doing everything it can to make that slope into a sheer cliff. And that's one thing I want us to keep in mind as we push into 2020, into one of the most important elections of our lifetimes.

This is my message for 2020 and beyond: this doesn't have to be an either/or scenario. We need progressive leaders in Congress who will stand up to corporate raiders looking to profit off of your privacy.

This is about transparency, about laws to protect privacy instead of taking it away, about a better government that puts the American people first instead of sitting on its hands while companies misuse and abuse your information.

Stay tuned. This is a critical topic and I have a lot of big ideas. And I'm going to need your help, as are Democrats across America working win big this year, and to secure your privacy once and for all.

Ron
