Take the Photo Contest Plunge!
[[link removed]] [[link removed]]John,
Sometimes the most memorable shots in photography come from animals on the edge.
That was the case for photographer Amy Perlman as she watched a walrus mom
gently nudge her calf toward its plunge into the sea off Svalbard, Norway—a
brief but beautiful moment.
Have you captured something magical in nature—from the blink of a backyard
firefly to the gleam of a distant star? Every single person who loves making
photographs has at least one great shot to share. Now we invite you to share
some of yours by entering National Wildlife magazine’s 2020 photo contest today
[[link removed]] .
You can enter an unlimited number of photos
[[link removed]] in any of eight categories, including birds, mammals, baby animals, landscapes
& plants, people in nature, “other wildlife” (anything from bugs and slugs to
lizards, spiders, snakes and moths), and a new mobile category. And for budding
nature photographers, we have a youth category for teens age 13-17.
Every entry is judged blind, so amateurs and professionals alike have a chance
to win cash prizes —including a grand prize of $5,000—as well as the opportunity to be published
in National Wildlife , giving your work wide exposure in our award-winning magazine.
Aside from the prestige of winning, you’ll have the satisfaction of knowing that
every single entry supports the conservation mission of the National Wildlife
Federation to ensure that wildlife survive and thrive in this fast-changing
world.
