Friend,
A new report from ProPublica reveals Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas accepted more vacations and gifts from billionaire benefactors than previously known.
Justice Thomas was already alleged to have accepted -- and neglected to report -- hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of free gifts from GOP mega-donor Harlan Crow.
Now, we’re learning that he’s allegedly taken at least 38 vacations, 26 private jet flights, eight flights by helicopter, a dozen VIP passes to sporting events and luxury stays in resorts in Florida and Jamaica.
Justice Thomas appears to have broken the law by failing to disclose many of these gifts. That’s why -- earlier this year -- I joined more than 20 of my colleagues in Congress in calling on Chief Justice John Roberts to launch an ethics investigation into these egregious allegations of misconduct.
Look, the American people’s trust in the Supreme Court is already at an all-time low. So revelations like these must be investigated fully.
If you agree that Chief Justice Roberts should launch an ethics investigation into alleged misconduct by Clarence Thomas, please add your name to my petition today.
