Hey,We’re already halfway through August, and my team tells me we’re a bit behind on our grassroots fundraising goal for the month. Before I ask if you can chip in a few bucks to help us catch up, [[link removed]] I want to explain how your donations empower me to best serve you in this important role.

As California’s Attorney General, my position is two-fold: I serve as the People’s Attorney and as the Chief Law Enforcement Officer for our state. My goal is to keep our neighborhoods safe, hold corporate greed accountable in court, and fight for the rights of every Californian, including the right to reproductive freedom and the right to be safe from gun violence.

There are a lot of bad actors out there, from Big Pharma, to Big Oil and Big Tobacco, to far-right extremists like Donald Trump and Kevin McCarthy. My top priority is to protect you from their harmful agendas as we keep California moving toward justice and progress.

When I’m not focused on my work as your Attorney General, I’m busy dropping off my kid at school and baseball practice, and spending time with my family, including our dog Legolas. It doesn’t leave much time for fundraising, which is where this grassroots team comes in.
