A few weeks ago, JOhn, I told you about Rob Banse — the Democratic nominee for HD 30. Rob is running to win a swing district that could decide which party controls the Virginia House of Delegates.

Today, I want to re-emphasize this race and give a few more details about why the election for HD 30 is so critical.

Rob’s opponent denies the existence of climate change. When he was on a local board of supervisors, he supported a budget that capped teachers’ salaries. He’s said he’s running to ban all abortion in the Commonwealth. He even organized “Stop the Steal” rallies and continues to refuse to accept the 2020 election as legitimate.

Virginians deserve better than a legislature dominated by anti-education, anti-choice, anti-science, and anti-democracy officials. That’s why it’s so important for Rob Banse to sustain the resources to run a competitive campaign as we near the end of summer.

Will you split $10 between our campaigns? I’m excited to double down on behalf of candidates like Rob as this election cycle picks up — but it’s going to be up to grassroots supporters like you to get him across the finish line.

JOhn, Virginia Democrats need to gain just three seats in order to capture the House of Delegates in November.

Today, I want to zero in on one of the pickup opportunities: District 30, in which an incredible first-time candidate named Rob Banse is running. If Rob wins, Democrats will be well on their way to taking a majority.

HD 30 sits within my congressional district, and I'm fired up to help Rob turn it blue. Can you split a $10 or more between our campaigns today? Every grassroots donation will go a long way toward helping Rob introduce himself to voters and make the case for change.

Rob is a church leader whose faith has always guided him to stand up for reason and integrity — and to advocate for those whose voices are at risk of being silenced.

When Rob saw that a woman's right to choose in our Commonwealth was hanging by a thread, when he saw that public school teachers were not being properly supported by those in Richmond, and when he heard from so many in his community who were concerned about housing availability, prescription drug costs, and the preservation of farmland, he knew it was time to step up and run for office.

Rob is running a powerful grassroots campaign in a geographically diverse district, which stretches from the D.C. suburbs to rural towns near the Rappahannock River. It's a competitive seat that Senator Tim Kaine and Governor Glenn Youngkin each carried — and the GOP will spare no expense in trying to stop Rob's momentum.

So JOhn, I'm determined to help Rob stay on the right trajectory this summer. It's now officially election season in Virginia, and Rob needs to hit his end-of-month goal this week in order to fund his growing field operations. Will you please split a contribution between our campaigns right now?
