I’m delighted to announce that Former City of Auburn Mayor Pete Lewis has endorsed my campaign to serve Washington’s 8th Congressional District!

Pete served his community as a banker and Auburn Area Chamber of Commerce President before seeking a vote to represent the people of his community as an elected official, and the wisdom and understanding from working in the private sector are more of what we need to overcome the disastrous effects of Big Government on our economy!

Pete shared the following statement:

“I am pleased to endorse Carmen Goers for Congress in the 8th Congressional District. As a commercial banker, Carmen has seen firsthand the challenges that the business community is facing. I know she will work hard to bring back common sense to DC. She will work to cut regulations and taxes, both of which are harming our small businesses and our pocketbooks."

Pete’s endorsement means the world to me as he comes from the same community banking and volunteer background that I do. 

The way we approach government spending and the regulation of small businesses desperately needs a change in direction, but we have too many politicians who are out-of-touch with how the status quo is making it extremely difficult for constituents to survive, let alone prosper! 

Big Government is NOT the answer, the economic freedom of individuals IS.
