john,

In 2023 alone, there have been more than 430 mass shootings, with more than 11,000 Americans losing their lives due to an act of gun violence. From Monterey Park, California, and Allen, Texas, to Louisville, Kentucky, and Nashville, Tennessee – all of these deadly shootings were carried out by a person using an assault weapon.

What's happening is unacceptable.

Assault weapons are consistently the weapon of choice in mass shootings. The solution to ending this tragic and uniquely American epidemic starts with banning these weapons of war – and two-thirds of Americans agree.

That's why Kim and her Democratic colleagues were proud to pass an assault weapons ban last year in the House. While this legislation would have been a step forward in ending gun violence, the bill was held up by Republicans in the Senate.

Kim is continuing to fight to get these weapons of war off our streets, but she wants to know what you think. Do you support a federal assault weapons ban, john? Take our one-question poll today >> [link removed]

Thanks,

Schrier HQ

To win back the House majority, we must re-elect Rep. Kim Schrier in WA-08. Will you chip in to protect Kim's seat and reclaim the House majority in 2024?
