Message from Rep. Tracey Mann. Having Trouble Viewing? Click Here. Fellow Kansan, Thank you for subscribing to my newsletter! I’m excited to update you on my work in Washington, D.C. and the First District of Kansas. It is an honor to represent Kansans in the Big First District in the 118th Congress. I do not serve in Congress to be a caretaker in the slow demise of America – I serve to fight and work to make it stronger, and I believe our brightest days are yet to come. Yours in service,   Mann.House.Gov   In the District Visiting All 60 Counties in the Big First, Mann Listening Tour Fighting for Kansans in the Big First is my top priority, and each year, I host a town hall in every county of the Big First to get my marching orders. I've hosted at least one town hall in every county of the Big First each year, for a total of 186 town halls over the past three years. Last week, I concluded the third annual Mann Listening Tour. In three days, we traveled 800 miles and hosted 16 town halls. In each of the 60 town halls that I hosted this year, Kansans expressed concerns about big government overreach, the federal government’s wasteful spending, burdensome taxes on small businesses, the border crisis, the nationwide spike in violent crime, and the infringement on basic rights like the Second Amendment and the right to life. There’s a lot of work to be done, but I believe that with some Kansas common sense, hard work, and prayer, our brightest days are yet to come. Thank you for joining us! House Republicans have done our part to pass commonsense solutions, but we still have a lot of work to do to get our country back on track. That’s why I released my Commitment to the Big First: ✔️An Economy That’s Strong ✔️A Nation That’s Safe ✔️A Future That’s Built on Freedom ✔️A Government That’s Accountable I am keeping my Commitment to the Big First, standing up for conservative Kansas values, and continuing to fight in Washington on your behalf. Protecting Agricultural Producers from Regulatory Overreach Farmers, ranchers, and agricultural producers know their operations far better than the federal government does, and they deserve a seat at the table when policies impacting their livelihoods are up for discussion. I introduced H.R. 4956, the Farmer-Informed WOTUS Act in response to President Biden's overreaching, unconstitutional Waters of the U.S. (WOTUS) rule. This legislation would establish a farmer-led advisory committee at the U.S. Department of Agriculture to bring together real-world experience, share insight into how rules like President Biden’s Waters of the U.S. rule negatively impacts agriculture, and offer solutions to eliminate unnecessary red-tape hindering agricultural productivity. I proudly represent farmers and ranchers in the Big First District and remain committed to hearing their concerns.
