Friends:

This morning we have FIVE reasons we'd like to ask you to make your first $5 contribution to Ilhan Omar. Here it goes:

--This month, the first challenger in Minnesota's 5th district Democratic primary officially filed to run against Ilhan.

--In 2022, Ilhan won her primary against a challenger by just 2,466 votes. That's a margin too close for comfort, and one we cannot risk again in 2024.

--That slim margin was thanks in large part to the MILLIONS of dollars in outside spending from corporate PACs and right-wing dark money groups against Ilhan for years.

--Right now, as you read this, those same groups are gearing up for next year's elections, and have already made Ilhan one of their top-priority targets in Congress.

--August is typically a slower month for fundraising but we can’t afford to slow down now. Today is a perfect day to show you stand with Ilhan in our fight.

As you know, the only way we're funding our campaign is from lots and lots of grassroots folks like you chipping in $5 at a time.

But now it's up to you, which is why we're asking:

Can you chip in any amount that makes sense for you to stand with Ilhan Omar today? We wouldn't ask if it weren't so important to our campaign's success.
