I’ll be honest, folks: This won’t prevent every senseless act of gun violence. But it’s a reasonable step that will reduce the prevalence of high-capacity weapons in our communities -- and will undoubtedly save lives.
Wearing a seatbelt doesn’t prevent every death or injury from car crashes, but the vast majority of us wear seatbelts every single day -- because it’s a no-brainer if it’s in our power to prevent even one unnecessary death.
