It seems like yet *another* indictment may not be the most shocking news yet, but with all of them there is a timeline to consider.
To ease the barrage of news, we'd like to present a timeline for you all.
Pre-Presidency:
Donald Trump faces 34 felony counts, brought by the Manhattan Grand Jury, on campaign finance violations as falsifying business records. This was in relation to his payments to adult actress Stormy Daniels for "hush money" payments during the 2016 campaign.
Presidency:
The most recently announced indictment, Jack Smith and the Grand Jury in D.C. has announced four charges concerning the attempts to subvert the 2020 election.
An indictment has yet to be announced for the case in Fulton County, Georgia when Donald Trump and his campaign sought to influence and change the number of votes in the state.
Post-Presidency:
The classified documents case, and Trump's refusal to hand over those documents, is set for trial in May of 2024. Notably, a Trump-appointed judge is over this particular case, and it will occur less than six months before the 2024 election. |
