Hi there - I wanted to forward my email from before. Yesterday was World Lung Cancer Day, and I’m committed to advocating for more medical research funding and the continuation of Medicare and Medicaid. We must continue fighting to ensure all Americans have access to the health care they need.
If you’re ready to help me keep up this fight, chip in to my campaign with $1 today. [[link removed]]
Thank you, John.

Today is World Lung Cancer Day, and I want to tell you a story that I hold close to my heart – I lost my father to lung cancer in high school. He raised us on a farm and taught us valuable life lessons that have made me the person I am today.

My father's fight against lung cancer was a challenging time for my tight-knit family. As an impressionable young kid, I saw firsthand just how important accessible and affordable health care is. Early on, I realized that no American family should face a crisis like this without access to health care or struggle to afford life-saving treatment.
That’s one of the many reasons I’m in Congress today, fighting for North Carolina families.
Today, as we raise awareness on World Lung Cancer Day, I reaffirm my commitment to comprehensive health care reform. Elected officials like me must work tirelessly to ensure that every individual has access to quality health care regardless of their background or income. This includes early detection, preventive measures, and equitable access to essential treatments for all those affected by lung cancer and other illnesses.
To keep up this important fight, we must work together and elect leaders who know every American should have access to the health care they need. Can you chip in $1 today to help me fight for affordable, accessible health care? [[link removed]]
I miss my dad so much. But today, we can honor the memory of my father and countless others who have faced the pain of losing a loved one to cancer and ensure that no family has to endure this hardship without the support they need.
With heartfelt gratitude,
