Anti-choice politicians in Missouri are pushing one of the cruelest and
most extreme abortion bans we’ve ever seen.

This bill would ban ALL abortion in the state — full stop. But what makes
this bill especially cruel is that it specifically directs police to
“affirmatively enforce” the abortion ban by stopping women before they can
access abortion care.^1

This is the most dangerous time for abortion rights since Roe v. Wade was
decided, and it’s going to take a massive, nationwide grassroots
organizing effort to stop it.

abortion ban from ever becoming law?

The officials pushing this bill can’t give a straight answer regarding
what powers it would give police to “affirmatively enforce” the ban — but
since the bill bans abortion, there would be nothing stopping radical
anti-choice officials from targeting and even criminally prosecuting women
and doctors.^2

With the Supreme Court poised to gut Roe v. Wade, we can no longer count
on the courts to stop extreme abortion bans like this one. And with
anti-choice legislators ready to deploy police officers to enforce their
bans on abortion, we must act now to stop women from being criminalized
for accessing care.

from becoming law and defend Roe v. Wade?

Missouri already has some of the most restrictive abortion laws in the
country.

The state’s last abortion clinic is on the verge of being shut down
because of medically unnecessary licensing restrictions, and there’s a
trigger ban in place that would automatically outlaw abortion if Roe
falls.^3

And Missouri also has some of the country’s most extreme anti-choice
officials. In October 2019, it was even reported that some state health
officials were tracking patients’ menstrual cycles without their
consent.^4

freedom. Will you donate $15 to help stop Missouri’s abortion
ban from becoming law and defend Roe v. Wade?

Thank you for all you do for reproductive freedom,
