Roe v. Wade is the law of the land, but conservative state legislatures have never stopped trying to repeal it.

Over the last 47 years, Louisiana lawmakers have passed almost 100 anti-abortion restrictions -- more than any other state in the country -- including abortion bans at any point in pregnancy, a six-week ban, a 15-week ban, and a "trigger ban" which would immediately prohibit abortion if Roe v. Wade were overturned. All four were blocked by the courts based on the precedent set by Roe v. Wade.

That's why electing pro-choice Democratic women to protect the right to choose is crucial.

Now one of Louisiana's harshest bans is the center of a Supreme Court case next month. And if conservative justices like Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch side with the state, Louisiana will become the first state to have NO legal abortion providers.

Threats to abortion access aren't hypothetical. They're very real and they're all part of the conservative legal strategy to overturn Roe and end the right to access abortion as we know it.
