Nine Republican contenders have officially announced their intention to challenge Tim Kaine for Virginia’s Senate seat in 2024 -- that’s more than any other Senator in the country this cycle. 

You may be surprised that so many Republicans believe they can defeat Tim and flip Virginia from blue to red. 

But we’re not surprised. Here’s why: 

1. The GOP’s success in the 2021 statewide elections in Virginia has led Republicans to believe that Tim Kaine is beatable. 
   
   
2. National GOP cash is set to flow into Virginia at a record pace. 
   
   
3. Media outlets, including the Washington Post and FiveThirtyEight, have said Virginia is a pickup opportunity for Republicans. 

As we approach our end-of-July fundraising deadline, we need your help: Tim set a goal of raising $50,000 by midnight tomorrow.

Reaching our goals will allow us to build the operation we need to win in every corner of our Commonwealth. If we fall short, we could be faced with cuts to critical investments needed to win next November, like paid media and organizing staff on the ground.
