As a longtime Algiers resident, I know Louisiana has its fair share of challenges. And as Shawn’s mother, I know my son is the right man for the job.

That’s because I raised him with the values that any mother would want their son to have: integrity, determination, and a willingness to help others. I saw those traits shine as he spent his career fighting for Louisianans, moving from one role to the next on his path to becoming Secretary of Transportation and Development. Along the way, he would always talk about his passion for making a difference for the people around us — and deep down I know that’s why he felt the call to run for governor.
