Attorney General Rob Bonta

Powerful corporations like 3M have polluted our drinking water, natural ecosystems, and even our bodies through the use of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS): toxic “forever chemicals” that contaminate our state’s bays, lakes, streams, rivers, and groundwater.

These chemicals can cause a variety of serious health issues, including cancer, developmental defects, infertility, diabetes, and liver damage — posing a dangerous threat to Californians and people across the country. The stakes couldn’t be higher.

Rob has fought back on this issue by being one of the first state officials to sue 20 of the manufacturing companies responsible for polluting our water and endangering public health last November.

Now, he’s leading a bipartisan coalition of 22 state attorneys general (representing more than half the U.S. population) in opposing a class-action settlement with 3M that would let them off the hook for contaminating our water.

Rob isn’t afraid to hold big polluters like 3M accountable. Will you support his work fighting for clean water and public health by chipping in $5 before our end-of-month fundraising deadline?

Chip In $5

Californians should have access to safe drinking water and a toxin-free environment to call home. Rest assured: Rob is leading the charge to protect the health and well-being of EVERY Californian.

In solidarity,

Team Bonta
