I’m emailing to let you know about a donation goal that’s a little different from the ones you probably see a lot.

This top part of the email is where a lot of the political fundraising emails you get would use CAPS LOCK or highlighted text (look familiar?) to stress how you need to donate RIGHT NOW .

Conventional wisdom is to prioritize sending a ton of really urgent fundraising emails. We’ve been doing a little less of that, because we think it’s worth spending as much time as we can keeping you in loop about the most crucial and pressing issues Maura’s working on — the things we know you want to hear about.

If you chip in, we want it to be because you want to invest in Maura’s vision for a stronger commonwealth.

That’s why we’re launching a different type of goal this summer — to bring in 350 new recurring monthly donors. Here’s why:

Monthly donations are often pretty small — a lot of the time, the price of a cup of coffee or two — but they add up. They let us send out fewer emails just focusing on fundraising goals and deadlines, and spend more time keeping you up to date. We think that’s really important.

Maura isn’t easing up on the gas. Whether it’s protecting crucial rights, building a clean energy economy that leads the world, taking on the affordability crisis, or investing in education, she’s working to deliver for our state.
