Last week, MAGA Republican Hung Cao announced his intention to challenge Tim Kaine for one of Virginia’s U.S. Senate seats.
While some in the pundit class give Kaine the edge in a hypothetical matchup with this Republican challenger, the Washington Post views it differently:
Their analysis stated that the GOP’s statewide victories in 2021 have given Democrats -- including Kaine -- “reason to worry.”
Look, you already know what a Republican victory over Tim Kaine could mean for the Democrats’ chances to retain their majority in the Senate, to say nothing of what would happen here in Virginia.
A Republican Senate would pass a nationwide abortion ban, make it harder to vote, and throw millions of Americans off their health care (including gutting protections for 1.3 million Virginians with pre-existing conditions).
We cannot let that happen.
