This has been a week of attacks on public education.

Governor Youngkin and the Republicans are trying to drive a wedge between parents, students and teachers by banning books, censoring curricula, abandoning grants to help teachers get certified and marginalizing transgender students. Politicians should never use children as pawns in their political games. In short, our Democratic Senate candidates are fighting for our children and fighting for our future.

Now It is up to us to make our voices heard. Let Governor Youngkin know that driving wedges between us will not work. Any donation you make will support Democratic Senate candidates in swing districts.

Democratic candidates in pick-up districts will increase teacher pay and reduce class sizes. They are committed to respecting our transgender youth and creating a welcoming school environment. They will not participate in censorship and book bans. Theses tactics hinder our children’s freedom to learn and explore, and they’re out of line with our values as Virginians and Americans. Our kids deserve better.

Our candidates are building out their field staffs and developing plans for communicating with voters. But the lay of the land is constantly changing because Governor Youngkin is raising unprecedented amounts of money from national donors.

We know there are more voters who want to support public education than those that don’t, so we must give them a chance to hear our message. Thank you, in advance, for any donation you can make. All funds raised through this email will go to our Democratic Senate candidates in targeted districts.
