Dear Green Friends,

 

The first half of this year has been a rollercoaster of ups and downs. We celebrated significant political victories, such as the European Parliament's recent vote in favour of nature restoration. 

 

At the same time, Russia’s brutal war against Ukraine is ongoing. Our solidarity remains steadfast with the people of Ukraine, and our thoughts are with them during these challenging times. We will persist in our pursuit of freedom and peace in Ukraine for as long as it takes.

And of course, summer in Europe now also means that many regions are suffering from scorching heatwaves which keep reminding us of the urgency of our fight against climate change. 

All of this shows us: We need to continue and intensify our fight for a peaceful and just future. 
 

As we take a short break this summer, we try to recharge and gather the energy we need for what lies ahead.

 

Looking forward to the 2024 election campaign, we are preparing for a crucial opportunity to increase our impact in Europe. Our Vienna Congress in June marked the beginning of an intensive and ongoing campaign planning phase. 

 

The energy and excitement surrounding our election campaign are palpable within our team in Brussels, the Committee, our member parties and our friends in the European Parliament.
